In between barbecues and family (and today, thunderstorms), it is easy to forget the meaning of Memorial Day.
It's not just the start of summer.
To Gold Star families—who have lost sons, daughters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, grandfathers, grandmother, or any family— the void of losing a loved one is never filled.
